Back on Track

Ok. First and foremost, the first full review of the "eventually-to-be-released" CD titled "Endgame" is out. No, we don't know the guy. No we didn't pay him. And no, we didn't do that to him either. Just read the damn thing! The Review.

Second. If you haven't read this interview yet, go ahead. Its relatively interesting- the main reason being that for some reason the guy didn't believe that we did not in fact name our band after a sandwich. (It was named after us, really, for real!) To express his disbelief. he decorated the entire interview with pictures of sandwiches. Its actually pretty funny. The Interview. They also did an album review. The Second Review.

Speaking of the sandwich, Time Out New York just did a full page spread on the Spicy Rizzak from Tiny's Giant Sandwich Shop. Smoked Turkey, eye tearing onions, spicy mayo... well, just read for yourself. The Spicy Rizzak Sandwich Feature.

Last, but certianly not least, one of the songs has been granted for use in an upcoming feature film. The song is "Action Slacks" on the Endgame album. The movie is Clean. Its actually supposed to play for awhile in the background, so we'll keep you updated on the release schedule.

Word is Bond.

Yet another way to lower productivity...

Theres this really cool band that are childhood buddies with my cowerker Blake. They are The Faint. Their music is quite awesome and worth checking out. However, it's the MEANS by which you can check it out that is so very choice. If you visit DropKickTheFaint.com which was just launched, you can take turns ninja-kicking each band member off of the stage mid concert. You get to play the part of the "new wave hatin' punk rock dude"- all the while listening to the new album.

HINT- if you can boot one of the guys past the 3000 point mark, his head may very well fall off...

I'm the next Carson Daly.

So last Tuesday while stacking 11,000 M.I.A. Cds in storage as legal battles wage over who gets to drop Sri Lanka's answer to Eminem, I was asked if I had seen Interpol's new video for the single"Evil". I had not. After viewing its bizarre spooky funny funky wierdness, I had to see it again. And again. Man that video is fucked up- in an "Its a Small World" ride at Disneyland mashed up with a "Being John Malkovich" viewing. By friday chat rooms, blogs, reviews, and the like were spouting the words "innovative" and "ground breaking" while actually singing the praises of puppetry videos, as if such a genre exists. Then yesterday, it popped up on TRL scaring Maroon 5 lovers everywhere. Anyway, if you don't think the song is the jam and the video is cool, you can go f*ck yourself, fool.

Best. Video. Ever.

By the way, talking with Boots over his third scotch and my third (lame ass) cranberry and soda, we got to chatting about Aaron Giraffe's New Year's hospital visit. B has this theory that the damage could have been caused during the creation of what may be the best shot, most disturbing video yet to date. I thought I was tough, punk even, until I witnessed this incredible display of human will.

Dig It.

(its the only video on the site)

And so it begins.

Here will lie all up to the minute updates regarding all things Rizzak related. Why? Because you need something to do on your lunch break.

Tonight I gave Bootsy a bowl of dicks. Literally. A Frank Sinatra record filled with pictures of Famous Richards. So now, if you want, you can go to his apartment and eat a bowl of dicks. But they won't taste so good.
